The Reading Teacher Phonics Program is a powerful tool for education.  Beginning readers will find the lessons easy to follow and their confidence will build as they succeed. Children will learn phonemic awareness, phonics and master the alphabetic code to become successful readers. The instructional approach and techniques used in the Reading Teacher Phonics Program are based on extensive scientific research and have successfully taught millions of children how to read.

The goal of the Reading Teacher Phonics Program is to help children build a strong foundation for future success in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and early elementary school.
The Program allows children to learn at their own pace—mastering each new reading skill before they move on to the next.

Why use the Reading Teacher Phonics Program?
Phonics is a method for teaching reading and writing by developing students' phonemic awareness (the ability to hear and identify phonemes) in order to teach the correspondence between these sounds (phonemes) and the letters (graphemes) that represent them.

Research shows that phonics instruction produces significant benefits for children of all ages, abilities, and socio-economic backgrounds. Research has also shown that systematic phonics instruction is a valuable and essential part of a successful reading program.

The 100 interactive books featured in the Reading Teacher Phonics Program use systematic, synthetic phonics to ensure that your beginning readers will get a great start in reading proficiency. The books begin at a very simple level and gradually introduce new sounds and words until students have mastered all 44 phonemes (sounds) in the English language. The interactive books should be read in order, because the sounds and words in each book build upon those learned in previous books. It is important that students master each book before moving on to the next. Each new word throughout the program is repeated at least 5 times in the book in which it first appears and 5 more times in the next 10 books.

The Reading Teacher Phonics Program:
• based on current research about how children learn to read more effectively
• developed with the help of leading educators
• proven and field tested with children
• uses the latest in digital media technology to make reading instruction interactive, fun and engaging
